VIESA Kompressor III, a new vision of air conditioning for stationary industrial vehicles: the driver can sleep peacefully, without engine noise and without consuming diesel.

Low power consumption ensures greater autonomy when the vehicle is stationary, while the innovation of a simplified construction increases the already well-known reliability of the refrigeration unit. The use of revolutionary materials ensures limited weight and reduced vibrations, for a significant improvement in acoustic comfort.

Manufactured in Italy at the Italcolven plant, VIESA Kompressor III is the result of over three years of work and collaboration with the Thermotechnical Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Florence. Designed to guarantee the best climatic comfort when stationary, it maintains a constant temperature in the cab, ensuring the driver a peaceful rest during breaks in parking lots.

VIESA Kompressor III leverages all of Italcolven’s expertise in air conditioning production, while also taking a significant step forward from the equally popular VIESA Kompressor IIS model: the highly reliable refrigeration unit remains unchanged. Everything else, from the casing to the electronics, has changed.

A lightweight design for greater efficiency and comfort

The key word is simplicity, as it was designed to simplify manufacturing and components as much as possible. Fewer components, more reliability: this is the principle on which the designers, supported by consultants from the University of Florence, based their work, as breakdowns are a source of inconvenience and increase costs. However, the simplicity of VIESA Kompressor III’s construction does not compromise its operation, which is even more efficient than that of its predecessor.

The new construction technique also benefits lightness, since the entire air conditioner weighs no more than 14 kg — which is 40% less than the VIESA Kompressor IIS.
As a result, the reduced weight translates into lower consumption, because it contributes to the overall reduction of the vehicle’s weight — a crucial objective in the construction philosophy of recent years.
Consequently, Italcolven has decided to move towards a clear economic and ecological choice.

Finally, VIESA Kompressor III has no protruding parts in the passenger compartment: the air vents are flush with the roof of the cabin, they are perfectly integrated and therefore improve habitability (the driver does not risk accidentally touching the air vent cover with his head) and allow the doors of the upper storage compartments to be fully opened.

During the design phase, a precise choice was made from the point of view of power and operating system: VIESA Kompressor III is not an alternative to the vehicle’s air conditioner that operates when the engine is running, it is a unit for maintaining the internal temperature when the engine is off. That is why we have found the best balance between climate comfort and energy consumption. With VIESA Kompressor III the driver will never have problems with the batteries, because consumption is truly reduced.
